Leadership Development Program

“We believe better Christians make better learners, and better learners make better leaders.” For over 25 years, this vision has remained unchanged, guiding our commitment to holistic education and leadership formation.

Why Leadership Matters

Leadership is what the world lacks and what South Africa desperately needs. At Calvary, we believe that authentic leadership begins with character, and we are proud to be one of the only schools in South Africa with an integrated leadership development program from Grade 8 to Grade 11.

Program Overview

· Compulsory Attendance: All learners are required to participate in leadership programs.

· Leadership Recognition: Prefects, monitors, and other student leaders must complete these programs to receive leadership badges or recognition.

· Venue: All programs are hosted at our Leadership Centre.

· Duration: Each program runs for three days.

Grade-Specific Focus

· Grade 8: Discovering Leadership

· Grade 9: The Purpose of a Leader

· Grade 10: The Heart of a Leader

· Grade 11: The Power of a Leader

· Grade 12: Learners are expected to implement and live out all they have been taught.

Program Activities

Each program includes:

· Devotions led by guest speakers

· Interactive activities linked to leadership themes

· Lectures and presentations

· Fun and team-building exercises

Group Sizes:

· Maximum of 25 learners per presenter

· Learners are further divided into smaller groups of 5 for deeper engagement

Core Focus

The primary focus of all leadership programs is character development.

Cost

Please note: There is a cost associated with the Leadership Program. This fee is separate from school tuition.
